The Tentec Hydraulic Stud Tensioner is used in conjunction with a standard nut and studbolt assembly. Using ancillary hydraulic equipment the system is pressurised to impart "pre-load" into the studbolt. The pre-load is locked into the fastener assembly mechanically and the pressure released.

 

SIMPLICITY + SAFETY + ACCURACY = RELIABILITY

SIMPLICITY. Using "clip in" self energising seals a minimum number of parts are used to make the stud tensioner "SIMPLE TO OPERATE".

SAFETY. "Overstroking" the piston on hydraulic tensioning devices will release pressurised oil. Tentec Stud Tensioners are "Intrinsically safe". Operator errors are countered through simple and effective pressure release in a controlled and safe manner.
Calculated accurate pre-load in the assembly will prevent bolt failure during tightening.

ACCURACY. Torque is eliminated and prevents the following problems :- "frictional errors, over stressed bolts, twisting in the bolt". USING ACCURATE CALCULATIONS, the bolt is loaded with PURE tension
